Unions suspend action while talks with employer are on-going
Baggage handlers have called off their scheduled Easter strike at Stansted Airport.
Members of GMB and Unite working for Swissport had planned to strike but, following talks in London, have suspended the action.
In a joint statement, Swissport, GMB and Unite said: “We are pleased that passengers and families travelling over the Easter Weekend will no longer face potential disruption.
“We will continue our talks in an attempt to reach a joint consensus that ensures we understand the commercial challenges and balance the need for the work life balance of our membership.”
