A strike planned for tomorrow in English colleges is off after bosses secured a High Court injunction in the High Court to get the action stopped.

UCU members were due to take action over pay, but the colleges’ employer body, the Association of Colleges (AoC), supported an injunction in the High Court to get the action stopped.

The union said it had defended members’ right to strike in court, but would abide by the decision. It has instructed its members at colleges in England go to work as normal tomorrow.
