Dear Supporter

As a follower of Union Solidarity International I want to take the opportunity to thank you for your encouragement, support and participation in our project. It’s a very over used phrase but I want to assure you that USI means it when we say without your support we are nothing.

I am writing to ask your help. Key to our success is building support for our campaigns. Central to this is encouraging union branches, cooperatives and trades councils to affiliate to our project.

Why? It’s simple. We want to mobilise rank and file trade unionists and grassroots activists to build collective power and to resist austerity across our world.

If your union branch is not affiliated could you raise it at your next meeting or consider affiliating as an individual?

If your branch is affiliated could you encourage other branches in your local area and in your industrial sector to consider affiliating to us by forwarding on this email or our affiliation booklet?

Affiliating couldn’t be easier and can be done be setting up a one-off direct debit. Please download our Affiliation flyer or affiliate online.

Why affiliate?

1. Build worker to worker solidarity.

2. Fight for trade union rights around the world

3. Strengthen industrial links between union branches internationally

4. Setting up international twinning arrangements

5. Funding union development projects – such as our flagship campaigns to build Solidarity with GreeceDomestic Workers and organise Brick Kiln Workers in India

The finances raised through our affiliation strategy will help support our flagship campaigns on the ground. So any help you can give in promoting branch affiliations is critical to our efforts in resisting austerity.

Branches can also affiliate for the appropriate amount by post by sending a cheque, made payable to ‘Union Solidarity International’  to the following address:

In Solidarity
