Both groups along with many others across the region have been campaigning in various ways for a couple of years and decided to jointly host a conference to bring together various speakers and activists from across the country. In addition to local campaigners, we have speakers from various national organisations, as well as international speakers.

The conference grew from a view that an alternative to the Coalition cuts agenda is not only possible but necessary and the conference will share ideas on how to build effective resistance against the cuts.

The vicious attacks on benefits, pensions and services as well as the onslaught against the disabled and other vulnerable members of society are ideological and must be stopped. This conference will be just the start and we will build upon the ideas put forward on the day.
