CWU urges members to accept 1.9% pay offer
CWU members will from this morning receive ballot papers on the offer, which also includes a £500 lump sum payment.
CWU assistant secretary Andy Furey said: “We are, of course, strongly recommending a ‘Yes’ vote in the ballot. This is a one-year pay agreement, a fully consolidated 1.9% pay increase backdated to April 1st, there are no strings attached, it is above-inflation (RPI) and matches the pay agreement received by our supply chain and admin members for the same period. Our members have been waiting very patiently for their pay increase, which is well-deserved.”
