Post OfficeToday’s planned strike by Post Office workers has been called off after “productive” talks.

CWU members working in the admin and supply chain were to take action today and tomorrow after being threatened with 28% job losses.

A joint statement by the CWU and the Post Office reads: “Following productive talks between the Post Office and the CWU, we are pleased to confirm that the CWU has called off the strikes planned for 23 and 24 December.

“Both sides will be meeting over the next few days and further progress will be reported. Until that point, the details of the talks will remain confidential.”
