Sandy Nicoll will still face disciplinary action but gross misconduct charge dropped
Suspended UNISON steward Sandy Nicoll has been re-instated in his post at SOAS.
Nicoll, who has worked in the university’s IT department for 21 years, was suspended pending investigations into claims he allowed students to occupy parts of the SOAS campus. He denied the allegations..
After a week of protest he has been reinstated in his role, with allegation of gross misconduct dropped. He will still face disciplinary procedures, but to a far less serious degree than previously faced.
