Unite Tanker Drivers at Scotland’s only Oil Refinery called off Strike action on Wednesday 27th of February after BP did ‘the right thing’. Drivers stood to lose up to £16,000 a year in pensions and £1,400 on basic earnings after the DHL contract transfer.

After the success of negotiations Unite Scotland stated

“Todays outcome should send out a message to workers and employers across the industry: there is power in a trade union and in this union – Unite – will fight back against any attempts to change our members hard fought terms and conditions.”

Thanks to Unite Scotland and the BP tanker drivers.
