All this week, USi will be reporting from the Global Labour Institute (GLI) International Summer School at Northern College, Barnsley. The Summer School, now in its fifth year, is described as “an open space to debate and question what are, and what should be, the politics of the international trade union movement”. Trade unionists from all over the world gather once a year for the GLI Summer School to take part in lively debate and organising workshops. The school is supported by an expanding range of national unions in the UK and overseas and international trade union federations. Participants are nominated by supporting unions or global union federations. You can view proceedings via a livestream on the GLI website, here:
