    USi Fringe at Unite Policy Conference Mon 25 June

    USi will be at Unite Policy Conference over the coming days hosting a fringe event ‘Resisting Austerity in Europe’. The event is on Monday 25 June in Room 1 on the ground floor of the Brighton Centre from 12:45-1:45PM.

    The meeting will be chaired by Mark Lyon of the Unite International Committee, and speakers include Andrew Brady of USi, Len McCluskey (Unite General Secretary), Jimmy Kelly (Irish Unite Secretary), Nagia Nikolaou – Athens Labour Centre (EKA) and the Greek Federation of Secondary State School Teachers (OLME).

    We know the peoples of Europe – in particular Greece – are facing tremendous economic, political and social instability. Now is the time for greater cooperation among trade unions across borders to resist austerity so if you’re at Conference come along and join in the conversation.
