This Thursday, at 6pm GMT, we’ll be speaking live to prominent Greek economist Yanis Varoufakis. Please join us in a web conference on the latest developments in Greece and the unfolding Eurozone crisis. You can ask your questions on the following issues and more:

  • The origins of the crisis
  • What austerity is doing to Greece
  • Why austerity doesn’t work to end economic crises
  • What’s likely to happen elsewhere in Europe
  • What could be done

Varoufakis is the author of The Global Minotaur, a fasciniating and tightly-argued book that looks at the roots of the global financial crisis.

  • Go to the USI home page.
  • Look for the Web Conference box in the right sidebar
  • Select the conference called Austerity in Greece
  • Enter your name
  • Password: 123

 

You’ll be redirected to a video conferencing session. A pop up window will ask to use you microphone and speakers. Click “allow”.

You can participate either by typing in questions, or speaking them.

You can enable your webcam by clicking the camera icon in the top left corner, and then selecting “publish”.
